| Herndon So, this subject hasn't been brought up for awhile, but is it really true that Herndon is cancelled? Or that only a very small portion of the Brigade can do it? |

| When I was at CVW I asked about it and was told that all plebes can still participate. |

| Herndon is still on, as it has been in previous years. I am not sure if this is a directive coming from higher up or if someone started a rumor.
But it is quite ironic to see the number of plebes scheduled for 0 block. 0 block, a training block, replaces Sea Trials and Herndon. Not sure if this was an alternate means of accomplishing the set-out goal or if it was just coincidence.
Traditionally, to miss Sea Trials and Herndon as a plebe, you had to be an athlete or have a special request. Apparently, they were assigned left and right this year (and some plebes didn't even request it!). |

| I was told be a current plebe this morning that the only one's participating in Herndon will be the top 5 from each company and those from the color company, about 175 in all....sounds like there may still be some confusion in the Brigade... |

| how many blocks are you assigned to? it seems like if you're only assigned to 0 block then you have all summer off? do you normally get two blocks? or is it like if you're assigned to a certain block you have to do NASS or plebe summer detail? |

| A buddy of mine told me that the top mids actually get to climb Herndon, and everyone else stands at attention and watches. He also said that his upperclassmen told them to break rank and rush it anyways. |

| 2 blocks are required. 0 block is mostly used for varsity athletes, who have to report back to USNA for training during 3rd block. 0 block is sometimes also used to accommodate a MIDN who wishes to participate in a 3rd, optional block (at their choosing).
The top 2 companies from sea trials line up closest to Herndon...that doesn't mean they are the only ones who climb it. |

| Thanks Jadler,
Do most people have blocks three and four? that seems like the best combination... |

| There are only blocks 0 through 3. For some odd reason like jadler mentioned, tons of plebes got 0 block this year and most didn't ask for it (but some of us did and didn't get it.... grr.). We have 15 plebes missing out on 0 block, which is awesome for them.
I've heard that Herndon will just be Herndon this year but say 15 plebes are missing from each company for sea trials. So that a little more than half the class which is pretty small. |

| My mid was assigned to zero block but instead of ending at graduation/commissioning, it is extended through the first week in June. |
