SAT Scores

have taken the SATs already 4 times. I just received my Oct. scores and got a 580 on reading. I have gotten that same score the last 2 times I have taken them. I got a 800 on math and 650 on writing. I took them again solely for the purpose of improving my reading score.

Will I be able to get into the academy with a 580 in reading or do I really need to still improve it. I don't know that taking them for a 5th time is really going to help me improve my scores.

I don't know what to do... Any help/suggestions on where I should go from here ??

Thanks.

Max

Max, if you're of minority status, you're in, or at least your scores would be fully adequate. If not, you may still be competitive. Of course, your math is stellar, writing fundamentally not DQ. CR may be sufficient, but a 600 min should be a target, especially w/ apps up. Have you attempted the ACT? If not, might be worth a last ditch effort.

While you do not know if retaking would help, you do know 2 things: 1. NOT retaking them again will not help. 2. Taking them again could do no harm, and may help.

Precise answer to your specfic question would seem to be ...no one knows. Do what you should to give this your best shot. You know what that is.
