@pookie, neither St. John's nor JUB has informed me of the aid yet. the wait is torturous.

what college are you attending?!

Acceptances from R.B.S.: 36
Acceptances from B.N.K.S.: 14

Information extracted from the list above.

I thought B.N.K.S. and R.B.S. were rivals. So, where is the rivalry if it is 36 against 14?

^ RBS did steal the show but it will not last for many years. In a few year's time, admission rates will have fallen even more dramatically in american colleges but RBS students will have not risen in quality. So it will not be surprising if the number came down to 18 next year from this year's 36. But that does not mean BNKS will maintain its 14. It will be down to somewhere around 4.

I don't think one should trust the figures directly. There are instances of the same person getting into multiple colleges... It's not sure whether all the college placements have been listed there, either.

@IfYouDodgeMe
Not necessarily so. A lower acceptance rate will make students apply to more colleges. The change will not be that dramatic. In fact, the next batch of RBS students (the ones that will apply without a gap year) are, on average, very good. I wouldn't be surprised if the admission count increases (it *did* increase this year, as far as I know).

^ But you know how retarded the current batch is and 80% of the applicants next year will be from the current batch. The next batch is on average better than the current batch but I am sure that most of them will take a break year and figures for RBS next year will be worse.

And how many colleges will students apply to? About 20 is the limit in commonapp and students are already applying to 20 colleges. Applying to many colleges will also be expensive.
