SUNY Old Westbury is sort of forgotten. I only know of two or three people who go there (not strong students generally, but one of them was a transfer back from UBuffalo or BufState... Can't remember which. But she transferred there instead of Nassau CC so she could a get four year degree), and I'm pretty close to it distance wise. I've heard it has a reputation of being for older students rather than recent HS grads.
I went to a math competition there and the campus is pretty large. The building we were in was nice and modern. You can probably look up the average GPA/SAT scores on their website.
