You looking for a University, LAC? Chem major?

SAT might be a little low for Geneseo and Binghamton but your GPA and the rest look good.

My recommendations would be:
Geneseo, Binghamton, Stonybrook, UB

Thanks a lot! Are there any other New York schools non SUNY that I could apply to with my academic standing?

You have a good chance at all the SUNYs. But Binghamton's the best academically, so I'd shoot for that! Geneseo also has good science, though. Albany and Stonybrook aren't too bad either. Good luck!

Hello Nugaz93--I too suggest Binghamton and Stony Brook for sure. Add to the list University of Buffalo (be careful, not Buffalo State, as there are 2 SUNYs). These are the top three renowned for your such background in science, math, research, engineering, and ranked academically high. Forget Albany, as your stats far exceed their requirements. The only possible glitch might be your SAT score as it is more towards the lower end of the three schools I noted. 'Lots of luck!

If I were you I'd also expand your search to private liberal arts colleges and universities to see what merit scholarships you can get. It would help if you could increase your SAT a bit (I'm assuming you're a junior not senior), but even as you stand right now Merit scholarships might put you in a better situation than a state school that's stingy with aid if you're considered out of state because of your citizenship status. It couldn't hurt to expand your net a bit...
