State university of New York: College of Environmental Science and Forestry

I've always heard that this school is very "green" but is this the name of the school, or is it part of a school. I think I've seen somewhere that is part of Syracuse University but I'm not sure. Does anyone know about this school?

Thanks in advance!

My eldest daughter graduated from Colgate last year and is planning to pursue a masters in environmental science at SUNY ESF.

SUNY-ESF: SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry

It shares the same campus as SU, but they are separate entities.

I know that SUNY ESF kids take a ton of classes at Syracuse. That's totally great... public school cost for private school classes!

If only I was a natural science major =P

Diplomas bear both schools names, which I think is also interesting. Only key difference is that ESF students don't get any NCAA play time (which is the least of my concerns).

You guys don't know what you're talking about.

teamfrangela92 and nylecoj007, that's wrong. ESF students don't take a ton of classes here. They hardly take classes at all. The most they do is share facilities and dorms. If they ever do want to take classes they have to go through a paper process etc. etc. ESF also doesn't have Syracuse' name on the seal.
