So there's this guy that's going to NYU this year with me. I just found out that he's going

WE DO NOT GET ALONG, we despise each other.
I don't know what school or major he is.
But what do you think are the chances of us meeting?
I know that NYU is huge and has large population.

Please tell me I might never see him again....

depends on your major.

however, simply put, just grow up. stop being immature. if you see him just ignore him. you're going to have to interact with people you dont like in life. if you do happen to meet him, think of it as a life experience.

chances are, over the 4 year period you're probably going to see him at least once but as Obutto said you just have to deal with it

If you see him on the street or in a class, give him the biggest, cockiest smile in the world. You own your life, and if you project confidence and self-happiness, not only will you begin to feel it inside, but it will make others gravitate to you.

NYU likes applicants from S's high school. So each year, there are quite a few students from his HS scattered throughout the various schools of NYU. S has not met up with anyone from his school on a day to day basis. But, of course, that depends on the classes you and the other student sign up for, as well as your dorm assignment and places both of you frequent.

I think some of the posters are right in saying that you just meet it head on if your paths cross. You can just move on; you do not have to mingle with this person. Even if you find yourself in the same class, you can just seat away from the person or make sure not to be in the same work group, if the person is so detestable to you.

I notice this thread has a lot of interest in it. It can be interpreted another way. How do you meet someone for dating purposes? Maybe another thread should be started about this (updating other threads on this topic from the past).

A girl from D HS is also going to NYU. She ran into her once or twice in freshman year. They even lived in Palladium at the same time and she never saw her. Now, D goes to CAS, the other goes to Stern, she still has not seen her since the beginning of junior year. The school is pretty big.
