Hello. I am going to apply to the SCPS in the fall. I am going to major in Sports Management. How hard is it to get accepted into the SCPS. I have heard from other forums that it is the easiest (but how easy is easy...its still NYU)...My SAT will be around 2100 and my subjects are 750 in math 2 and physics...is this pretty good for SCPS.

By being the "easiest" to get into, what exactly does that mean? Do people have lower SAT scores or grades or what? I have a 4.3 GPA and I have done many sports management related activities (such as an internship with my school's athletic director and also volunteering for the city marathon and special olympics). Is this good for the SCPS?

I would basically like as much information from the SCPS regarding admissions as well as sports management please. I have been on the school website, but I would appreciate it someone directly involved or related to the SCPS can help me.

you should be fine. scps is the easiest school to get into; they don't even require for you to submit SAT scores. the school itself is not really designed for people who just graduated high school, but rather for older adults going back to school for some certification or to get their college degree. this is why so many classes are scheduled at 6 since most people who attend are old and work full time. this is also why the school is not very hard to get into; it is not designed to be a competitive environment for bright young minds, but rather serves as an opportunity for the nontradition student.

like mitssu87 said, the school is designed differently; they help you to be trained and have different job experiences under your belt so you'll be ready to work. however, there are 2 different divisions. the Paul McGhee division is for the adult students, and most of what the above user said applies to that. But the Preston Robert Tisch Center is for traditionally aged highschool graduates. You won't be in any classes with adults or anything. also, like the other schools, during your frosh/soph years you'll take your ge classes with other nyu students. apply! i think you have a good chance of getting in :]

mitssu87 is wrong. you do need to submit SAT scores. i think the only reason you wouldn't submit them, is if you are taking classes for a non-degree program. but i imagine that you are applying to the undergrad sport management and leisure studies program. make sure to submit your scores if that is the case. otherwise you may not get it because your missing an important part of the application/admission process

well i know of people who did not take the SATs and got in...they were not traditional students so i dont know if they were an exception to the rule, but most scps students aren't traditiona students
