Rejections from NYU?

Has anyone been rejected in the last couple of weeks? All I hear is acceptances. Does it mean that if we haven't heard we have been ..... rejected.

They're trying to send out the letters as close to the April 1st date as possible (why, I have no idea because the wait is driving me insane) so acceptances are still definitely going out.

It could be because

1) Those rejected are less likely to post than those accepted.

or

2) College Confidential is loaded with top notch kids, so acceptances are commonplace around here.

so im guessing rejections come out last. my friends got their packets already (but they had likelies too)

Well... you don't need to necessarily think like that...

Like you said, they received invites...

There are also those who have not received it that still got in.. you still have a shot.

I think it's the combination of both.
CC is a gathering place for I-want-to-go-to-great-college kids.
If you look at this NYU forum, it's filled with those who want to go to Stern and Gallatin, and there's not much Steinhardt or CAS people. (though I applied to CAS only lawl)

Also, if you look at many other colleges' decisions threads, there are only handful of people who post their rejection posts. People don't want to be publicly embarrassed

A whole handful of kids at my school JUST received their rejection emails from all schools (Steinhardt, CAS, Tisch, etc). We're international, and i STILL haven't gotten anything. I'M DYING RIGHT NOW!!

I got in, but to the Liberal studies program. If it makes anyone feel better, I got rejected from CAS which is the one I applied to. If you haven't gotten a decision yet and applied to CAS, remember there's always still a chance you might make it to LSP and able to transfer to the college of your choice in two years!! WOO good luck people!
