Do you all appy ED for NYUAD? What is the status of your high school transcript in the Albert? Mine is still not received

@Daveyyy I see there are just 800+ ED applicants last year. It is still hard though.

P.S. I know someone from class of 2015 got his invitation on 12 Nov. Super early!

@kaiseryin I applied ED, too. The status of my transcript is "checked". Are you sure your councelor submited it? If yes, then just write to the admissions. I am sure they can explain everything to you

Hey guys!! Just thought I would join in this little group of antsy ED 1 ers or what have you.
It is such a relief to see that there are a decent amount of people just as nerve wrecked as I am about this entire process.
This may all be virtual but it definitely looks as though there is a really nice support system taking place here.
Any who, wish you guys all the best and congrats to the one who got her invite already-- maybe?
In the end though (and this is to reassure myself too), it won't be the college that defines us but who we are as an individual.
Although I will admit... the college certainly helps.

@Ebadsyed Do you mean the description of your HS is not showed? I guess maybe it's because you forgot to type your HS name on common app? We both should call the office!

I feel like we're not acknowledging the fact that it's completely normal for a few boxes not to be checked as "complete". And also, Hurricane Sandy set back the New York Office of Admissions by a whole week. So please, calm down and contact them sometime next week if it's not received. Mine are all ticked, but then again, I sent them on October 24th.

What about the Standardized testing box, I am not planning to submit any. Should I just leave it all as it is?

Asem, it's a requirement by NYU Abu Dhabi, that a form of standardised testing is required - be it SAT Reasoning, ACT or an approved national standardised test. You have to submit this for your application to be valid. ILY.

@Daveyyy Thanks for replying, I have applied with my IB predicted scores, so all the info about that is in the common app (school forms section), my counselor submitted the reports. This is a bit confusing though.

@Daveyyy Riiight, it will be filled up by my final scores with time. Thank you And as for the predicted score, i don't mind you asking at all, its just that I don't see a point in sharing it online for particular reasons.

One of my friends Rakesh called up NYU Office of Admissions in Abu Dhabi and they seemed to believe that they haven't been released yet, but the last invitations will be out at the end of next week.

Hey guys, so for the high school transcript section of the Albert Application Status, is it just talking about what my guidance counselor sends in via the Common Application (in the School Forms section)? or am I required to send in a separate one?
I feel like I've already sent enough emails to the NYUAD AdCom that they'll think I'm some seriously annoying kid. (Which, I don't believe myself to be)
