Good luck to everyone! My son was admitted ED to Tisch Film and Television last year. He loves it! The admissions decisions trickled in during the 2nd week of December. He tracked them on CC. Just be forewarned that the mail may not move as fast as you expect. By the time he received the good news (postmarked the first day decisions were mailed), he was convinced he wasn't in. We live in a major city in the midwest and it took almost a week for the package to arrive. Don't lose hope if it takes longer than you expect to hear! Also, last years internationals received packages via express mail and domestics via regular mail, so many international students heard before students in the US.
hey, what do you mean he tracked them on CC? I thought there were no electronic way or any other way to find out the admission status other than through mail...?
hey i applied to steinhardt too! idk if im gonna get in at all bc im on the very low range of their SAT scores. do you mind sharing your stats with me? hopefully we can both get in

What I meant was that my son was on CC and saw people posting when they were admitted. Since people received their admissions letters over the course of about 7-10 days, people began to speculate why they hadn't heard yet. It turned out that a lot of people hadn't heard because the mail was slow, not because they were waitlisted or rejected. I wish that he had known that it might take awhile to receive the letter, because, by the time he got his acceptance, there was a lot of talk on CC that the longer it took to receive word, the more likely it was to be a rejection- it caused a lot of undue stress.
Hey NYUwouldbenice - I saw your chances thread and my stats are WAAAAY below yours. Honestly, on paper I don't have much of a chance, but I applied ED and we'll see what happens. It's always worth a shot. Rejection sucks but not trying sucks even more best of luck!
yeah i agree totally and i respect you alot for trying and i just read this thread about how colleges discriminate against asian applicants which was pretty discouraging but ohwell its life
anyways it will be nice if they take the time to look at our entire app instead of throwing it away if we dont make the cutoff stats.
but good luck!!! and keep in touch, and lemme know around mid-dec if you get in or not
