I'm going to one on Sunday and was wondering if anyone else signed up to go to any of them, or if its not worth the trouble. I'm not sure, but I think only LSP kids were invited to these send offs, since thats what it seems to be mostly about, and also because LSP orientation isnt until Welcome Week.

So, has anyone else signed up to go/already went to one?

I went to the LA one a few years ago when I was going to be a freshman and it was one of the highlights of my NYU career, and made me incredibly stoked for NYU. It is pretty informal, but the LA one was very swanky. Go dressed nicely, as people tend to size up their future classmates a lot at this event. It was an awesome experience, I met some of my best friends at that send off, and it is awesome to meet people and their families before you get to school. Good way to break the ice, so the first few days you see some familiar faces.
