As of today, my daughter's status has changed to design review.

madoug, that means she has passed the first step of academic review -- University Admissions office has now passed her application on to the College of Design. COD will be reviewing her design essay and portfolio images in the next few weeks. Hopefully, mid to late December she will receive an invite to Interview Day in January. Good luck!

I really don't know, since my daughter would have gotten the email.

As Dad, I was checking her WolfPaw account every day in December (and later in March) to get the latest updates.

My daughter had not received an email that her status had changed, we logged in to her wolfpaw account and noticed it.

And I guess it would have been more appropriate to title the thread Potential Design Class of 2017.

I guess it would stay "design review" as long as you are still being considered? So even after an invitation to interview?
If you are not invited to interview what happens? Then does it go back to "under review"?

If my memory serves me right, I think my D's status remained as "design review" until she received the news of acceptance in March. Until then, the news that she made the cut for interviews arrived in the mail sometime late December, with all the needed information and instructions enclosed.
