honors program
Does State have an honors program? I'm looking at it as a safety, and I want to be able to get as good an education there if comes down to it as I would at Chicago or Columbia or Emory or the other schools I'm applying to.

yes,NC State has the University Honors Program and also the University Scholars Program. You can find a lot of information on the NC State website. Just do a search for Honors program.
