housing forms - timing?

Hi again PackMom. In case you didn't see my question on other thread, thanks again. Also, how important is it to get the forms in early? We are waiting on another school which notifies on April 1. Does NC State refund before May 1, if she chooses not to attend? Is the housing deposit linked to an enrollment commitment? We won't see the forms until they arrive in the mail later this week. Thanks!
