Spread the word.

We need to get more prospective students for NCSU involved with this site so that we can all keep in touch...

i would wager that most applicants/future students do not know about this site therefore can not use it. Spread the word to your friends that plan on attending NCSU. The more prospective students that i talkl with, the more excited I get about the upcoming fall...

yeah: travel, do a summer job or intern, participate in a educational workshop over the summer, attend a leadership forum, attend a residential summer program at a college, etc, etc, etc...

anything will look better than just sitting around.... you can also go ahead and start working on your personal statement for next year's application b/c their will def. be a section on ur app asking you to upload one (it is optional though - it will help you)

what's really going to separte you from the OOSers is the SAT score... if you have the extra money, join an SAT prep class this summer. if u don't have the money then there are lots of free recources online... Just STUDY and don't let that be the factor that keeps you from NCSU.

Other than that, stay motivated and try to get some solid community service hours... that doesn't mean just work for a shelter or pick up trash just to say you did it. Make a difference in someone elses life and you will be rewarded in other ways.

Best of luck to you next year... anymore questions about the application process, just ask. If i don't know the answer, i'm sure that PackMom or Nguyen will know... take care

Josh
