Princeton review put NC State under small/unsightly campuses. For anyone who goes there, how do you view the campus?

Haha...everyone who doesn't go to NCSU says that and those who do go to NCSU love it.
The main thing seems to be that there is not a huge grassy quad surrounded by academic buildings in the center of campus like most people expect to see. Because of this the campus is very compact and easy to navigate for such a huge university. We who love NCSU don't think it's ugly!

My S (NCSU Jr.) frequently visits friends at UNC-CH whose beautiful sprawling campus makes walking from one side to another a cross country event. S is always happy to return to NCSU and the Brickyard.

does she like the food and dorms?

My son says the food is OK. Everybody get tired of cafeteria food after awhile. He likes that it's all you can eat at every meal. There's always ice cream! NCSU (being an Agriculture school) has it's own dairy that provides ice cream to the cafeterias. There are "fast food" places on campus (like Chik-fil-a). You can use your meal plan there too.

I would say the dorms are probably your average college dorms, not bad but not luxury or anything. S's dorm room was clean and the furniture was all moveable so they could arrange it any way they liked. Cable TV is available in every room. There are nice on campus apartments but only Juniors, Seniors and grad students can live there.

a TON of brick buildings. can't even begin to compare it to Carolina's campus. but those who go there dont seem to mind.

Son stayed in dorms for 1.5 years and moved only because suite mates were renting a condo. Dorm living was fine with him. Dining could have been a problem with him being a vegetarian, but he had many options. You can opt to put money on your plan and eat at the various fast foods on campus. The only thing that was a problem at all was freshman not being allowed to have cars on campus. But, there are private lots that you can rent if you have to have a car. It's not cheap, but if you need your car (or your parents' need you to have your car), it fits the need.

The campus is all brick and many people do not think it is too pretty. However, I think that the education itself is far more important than how the campus looks. And the NCSU campus is original in many ways. For example, there is a tunnel on campus that anyone is legally allowed to vandalize.
