i am a rising senior and want to go for that. Im instate, rank about 40/450, and have a 1870 (will improve) SAT. What should I do to obtain this scholarship? I can't afford to pay for college. Any park scholarship winners here?

leetx,go to the NCSU website and type Park Scholarship into the search box in the top right corner. The P. Scholarship page will probably answer most of your questions.

You have to be nominated by your high school to apply. You would need to talk to your Guidance counselor about nominating you. Definitely raise your SAT.
The Val. of my S's class tried for it and did not get it but another girl in S's class who was not even in the top 10 but had a lot of other accomplisments (won a national award) did get it. It is very competitive. Good luck to you.

Since you said you can't afford to pay for college..also do a search on the NCSU site for Pack Promise. Maybe you would qualify for that.
Also be sure to apply for University Merit scholarship and any scholarships offered by your major dept.
