lol, aren't you the same person that keeps posting about going to unc for biomed?

and to answer your question... i have no idea about summer engineering, but i got into nc state (school of physical and mathematical science) with the following:

SATI: 670M 630V
9th grade gpa: 3.6
10th grade gpa: 3.8
11th grade gpa: 4.2
12th grade gpa (as of time of application): 4.2

courses including: honors bio (b-), honors english 9(a) & 10(b+), honors chem(a), honors physics(a), ap calc ab(a), ap stat(b+), ap physics c(a), ap gov't and politics(b+), ap euro(a)

kindof a quick runthrough of my transcript, if you need anything more detailed (doubtful) just ask.

and oh yea, i'm 4th generation... probably helped

A friend of my son's got in for engineering. He had low 1200's for his SAT and although his GPA was probably around 88 or so, he didn't take any APs and very few honors courses. He had no legacy advantage, is not a URM, or a recruited athlete.
