ANY! I looked at the website and couldnt find much, it was just about what the program is and stuff. How big is the program, how strict are they (As in wear uniforms once a week, or every day; Stay in the same place or live anywhere). Thank you!

If you type NROTC in the search box on the NCSU homepage, it will bring up a pic. of last year's battalion standing on the steps of the Bell Tower.
This year the unit has 107 midshipmen. It is the largest in NC.
Uniforms are worn once a week. You have to take a NROTC class plus lab every semester in addition to your reg. class schedule. There is PT (physical training) at 6 a.m. two or three times a week (start running now!). There is no living requirement. You can live wherever you like. Most live on campus for freshman yr. S moved off camus soph. yr.

I'm incoming midshipman for the spring semester. You can contact the CO, he'll be more than happy to help.

PackMom, What year is your son? What does he plan on doing after graduation/commissioning?

Just realized my mistake. EOD is Special Ops. not Spec. Warfare (that would be Seals).

o Kool! Yeah, I probably haven't met your son yet, its so hard getting everybody's names, some introduce themselves with their first and some their last name. And since everybody looks the same with the same haircut and all, its hard to distinguish people. Overall its pretty tiring, but the midshipmen are very supportive and nice, willing to lend a helping hand anytime. O yeh...PT is very early...and very cold...

lol,nguyen0824..PT is cold and early. Invest in some good gloves, toboggan and Under Armour type shirt to keep warm. Do your best to keep up and avoid remedial PT.
Hang in there. It will be Spring in a few months.

Yeah, we had our mock PFT last week, I passed the pushups and crunches, but I failed miserably at the run (I'm the skinniest guy ever and guys who weigh twice as much as I do can run 10 times faster). So I'm on remedial PT, the only midshipman from my platoon to be on remedial PT. And lol it seems to be getting worse with predictions of snow this week.
