Scholarships For Out of State Students

My D was accepted into the engineering program for Fall 09. However, she is an out of state student. Does anyone know if NC State gives a lot of scholarship money to out of state students especially in the engineering department?

Did she get her application in before the merit scholarship deadline (Nov.1)?
Did she apply for a University-wide merit scholarship?

The NCSU website says that the College of Engineering awards scholarships to entering freshmen based on information on the application for admittance (no other scholarship app. required). It did not state specifically when the recipients are notified. You could call the College of Engineering and ask. They would be glad to answer your questions.
My S got a scholarship fr. his major dept.(not engineering) and was not notified of it until June (just after he graduated fr. high sch).
