Denied, any chance left?

We appreciate your interest in attending North Carolina State University. Admission to the University is very competitive, with the number of qualified students greatly exceeding the spaces available each year. We regret that we are unable to offer you admission to this year’s class. Please refer to the letter that was sent to you for additional information.

We wish you every success as you continue your studies and recommend that you seek the assistance of your school counselor to discuss educational alternatives that may be available to you.

Thank you for your interest and be sure to let us know if we can be of any assistance. We wish you every success in your education plans for the future.
During the busiest times of the year we receive thousands of documents every day and it takes several weeks for delivery, routing and processing of documents before their receipt is reflected in the application status.

I applied to NC states engineering school - computer science and I was denied... its the only college I applied to.. (don't ask why.) Since the engineering school is so selective is their any chance I can just go for the program called 1st year college? My scores arent that bad 3.3 weighted, 650 Match 610 Reading 480 Writing...

What should I do to attend NC State?

I'm sorry but that is stupid to make it the only college you applied too. I don't know what motivated you to do that but that doesn't matter. If your OOS, NC State is hard to get into. Not has hard as UNCCH but close enough (comment to pierre). Also to think that you would automatically get into the engineering program with a 3.3 WEIGHTED and not even plus 700 on your math SAT is just stupid.

Did you get into your second choice program at State. If so then go with that (hopefully is 1st year college so you don't have to transfer) and just go into engineering the year after that.

You should call them and ask them what you should do. If you did not pick a second major then call them and ask them if you can do that.
I think that the reason you got denied was not only the G.P.A but the inconsistencies in the critical reading score and your writing because most people's score do not differ by that much. and you might be wondering why this matters is that you have to take a 4credit English class here to graduate and i would not consider it a joke. I had an engr. friend who failed the class i was in while she was in calc 2! In order to graduate from engr. you need to fulfill the university requirement.
Don't lose hope because I have a friend also, who started out at University of South Carolina and transferred here after one semester.
