You should have the orientation registration link on your NEU portal. If you are going to apply for stafford loan there is a loan questionnaire that you have to fill out. That is also on a link in the portal.
The residence app just asks a bunch of questions where you click options. And I have to do those other things now? I didn't receive anything about them in the mail just yet.
You should also receive something in the mail explaining more about loans, orientation, dorm/roommate assignments, etc. Although there is a lot of information available online, and registrations can typically be done online as well, NEU has been pretty good about mailing out information, especially info that relates to first year students.

hey, I called the neu office, they said that as long as I filled out the loan interview on "self service" and also the roomate interview along with paying for my both housing and tuition deposit...I am set to go. They will send you the some promisory note to sign in july and also your roomate and dorm information, I hope that helped!
