Music at NU

Is anyone planning to keep playing their instrument in college, either through an NU band, freelance, etc? I play flute and definitely want to keep it up.

Are there any current NU students who could give some advice on how to stay active in music even if you're a non-music major?

Oh, and has anyone been accepted ED to the NU School of Music? Just curious.

My son just finished his first quarter as a freshman. He joined their marching band and plays trumpet. He loved it. He went a week early for their band camp and bonded with those kids before school even started. It was alot of intense practice but really enjoyed it. He is trying out for concert band when he gets back to school in Jan.

The members of NUMB are reportedly an enthusiastic, tight bunch.
