My D had comparable ACT and AP. Your class rank is much better. I honestly cant tell you what weights they give to the different areas in an applicant's resume.
She was waitlisted and subsequently accepted in early June.
PS - I heard that NU is acutely conscious of "yield" which has to do with the percentage of the initial applicants they offer admission to who accept; ie., they try hard to only offer admissions to candidates who they feel will accept. So if you're an out-of-state candidate, apparently, it helps a great deal to visit and make them know that you have spent the time and effort to do so because it gives them greater confidence that you'll accept. Again, dont have any idea how true this is.
