northwestern vs. tufts

allright. I have two weeks to figure out where I'm going to school. I got into both NU and Tufts, and got financial aid from both of them. Tufts gave me significantly more, however. I have visited both, and honestly loved both...

Any ideas to help make or break my decision?
I'm going in as an IR major and probably minoring in Technical Theater...

I realize your major is set for IR, but to answer your minor interest as my DD is majoring in theater--NU's theater program is considered by some to be the best, top tier. They have a student produced show called WAA-MU that is FABULOUS! more info for this year's show: Home
I do not know the pluses/minuses of Tufts.
Best of luck to you-and congratulations in getting accepted to both schools!

I think Northwestern is a stronger school overall for a lot of reasons but Tufts is known for its exceptional IR program so if you're really and truly set on IR as your major, I'd choose Tufts - especially because they're giving you a better deal.

If your family can't afford Northwestern right now, it might be better for you to go to Tufts if the aid is significantly higher. If such is not the case, I think Northwestern would a "better" choice. :]
