Project Wildcat!

Hey everyone! So this is a question more for present students, but prospectives might know too...

I sent in my application for Project Wildcat, the pre-orientation trip, and I'm really pumped! But does anyone know if its really intense?? I love the outdoors, but supposedly we're hiking 6-8 hours a day for 7 days, and I'm not sure how hard that will actually be.

ALSO, on the application it asks "what's your favorite joke?" Is it ok that my favorite joke has a swear in it? I replaced some of the letters with dashes, like this: motherf---er. I mean, honestly, what do they expect when they ask for an 18-year-old's favorite joke??

Lastly, is it really competitive to get into PWild? I hope not, I really want to do it...

PWild will not care if you are vulgar. I did it when I was a freshman and it will be students reading your "application." They don't really deny many people, and its just for you to show a little personality and have some fun. PWild counselors are crazy fun, so I wouldn't be surprised if vulgarity helped you out :P

I already had plenty of backpacking experience before I went, but it is pretty tame wherever you go. Anyone who has done any moderate exercise in high school will be fine. It really isn't that tough.
