Something FOR ALL EVERY WILDCATS

In reading numerous threads on the NU forum, I've heard a lot of discussion about the ridiculous and punishing Northwestern curve (especially pre-med classes). Seeing as I will be a freshman, pre-med student, I'm really crurios as to what that truly actually means.

simply put, can someone PLEASE EXPLAIN THE CURVE system at NU and how it deflates GPA's????

thanks.

It's exactly the same as everywhere else, just the kids are on average smarter, so the curve is, for an randomly selected student at NU, likely "harsher". Also, Organic Chemstiry is curved to a B-. Otherwise, the grading is somewhat inflated.
