| I'd highly highly recommend NOT using any kind of pre-meet strategy like facebook. If you don't legitimately know someone that you WANT to room with, you are better off leaving it up to chance than trying to find a match over facebook. From what I have seen happen, you cannot tell how a person will act in real life based on a few IMs or a facebook profile, and it ends up leading to a crappy match that you feel even worse about since you personally caused it to happen. Plus, there's something charming about the fact that you might meet your new best friend just due to some random housing arrangement. Be brave, try it. |
