My Chances? RD

Sorry, I know these get old but thanks to everyone who offers an opinion. I would be applying REGULAR DECISION.

Caucasian Male
GPA: 3.96/4.71 (1 B that was a 92 in an honors course)
Rank: 3 of about 550 (Competitive Suburban Public School)
6 total AP’s – 4/5 scores, A’s in all so far
All honors courses other than few electives that correspond with intended pathway of business.
SAT: 640 CR/650 Math/760 Writing =2050 :[
Out of State Resident if that matters (FYI NC)
2 Yr. Interact
2 Yr. FFA Member
1 Yr. Basketball Manager/Statistician
1 Yr Recreational Basketball Participant
FBLA Treasurer (Jr.) and President (Sr.)
2 Yr. NHS
2 Yr. Nat’l Society of High School Scholars
Baseball- JV 2 Years
JV Captain as Sophmore
JV Player of Year Award as Soph
Baseball- Starting Varsity 2 Years
Varsity Baseball Conference Sportsman of Year Award
Probably Varsity Captain- Senior Year
Jr. American Legion Baseball (Summer League)- 3 years
Approx. 150-200 Volunteer hours (Not sure exact number at date I send app in) at local food bank, clothing store, thrift shop, etc. for summer and on occasion during school year
Many Awards (10 or so) from School recognizing excellence in particular areas of study if that helps at all

Essays should be good. It’s the only thing I was satisfied with on my SAT score lol.

I admittedly struggle with the reading section but have scored around 750 Math both times when taking the PSAT and knew I blew the section as soon as I took the SAT. Took it without a refresher course and while not enrolled in a math class. Knew I could do the problems just couldn’t remember how!

Will take again before applying. Taking September ACT and October Sub Tests with prep course! Much more comfordtable with ACT! Probably take SAT 1 once more as well.

Thanks again to whoever offers an opinion!

Reach. NU doesn't put much (if any) weight on the writing score, so a 1290/1600 is not going to cut it, unless you're an URM or some other special case. Aim for 1400+ at least. Good GPA and list of EC's though. Just raise those scores =]
