transfer chances at weinberg

hi. I go to carnegie mellon and I really dislike it here cuz it rains all the time which makes it depressing and everyone always works 24-7. Also, cmu does not emphasize a liberal arts education enough as it is all overshadowed by computers. Thats why im considering transferring to northwestern where people are more well-rounded and more interesting.

Applying as a transfer for spring for political science major

My stats
gpa at cmu: 3.4
rising trend in gpa

I'll warn you, the weather here isn't much more uplifting- the skies are a constant steely grey in the winter months, and the cold cuts to the bone. It's great in the fall and spring though.

What year are you at CMU? What's your SATs? Will your recs be good?

I'm no expert on transfer admissions, but a 3.4 is almost certainly far too low for transfer admission.

acceptance rate is about 30 for transfers; you have the potential with that gpa, though it's a reach, so apply to a lot of other schools
