EA credentials for Notre Dame

What did you guys and gals get into ND w/ EA?

Got in with 4.37 GPA, class rank 30 in class of 400. SAT 2100. ACT 32. Took ACT twice. Best math score was 34 and 35 English, but were on separate tests. Two sport letterman. Twenty extracurricular activities.

I just got in about 30 minutes ago ( it's : D times 100!) I have a 4.3 on a 4.5 scale, about 15th in class out of 80 (my school is REALLY competitive...). My SAT's were 690 M, 770 CR, and 800 W. I'm a double legacy (...sorry guys..). I do a lot of stuff with art (co-president of art club since sophomore year, co-pres of NAHS, submitted a big portfolio, etc.) I went on a mission trip last year and am leading said trip this year, I started a youth group with a few others this year, and I lettered in track/field twice in shotput/discus.
Ah...I think that's about all. National merit semifinalist...yeah, that finishes it.

Your application was strong. Do you plan to apply to Ivy League schools or do you consider ND tops?

Accepted! I'm so freaking pumped! Someone asked for credentials, so I hope this helps:

SAT: 2240 (730 Crit, 720 Math, 790 Writing)
GPA: 102.58
Rank: 3/ about 500
Location: Long Island, NY
Extra Curriculars: DECA Treasurer, Business Honor Society VP, Treasurer of Academy of Finance, Altar Server, Making food for poor w/ youth group, Schools for Schools (with the Invisible Children Documentary-for kids in Uganda) soccer, cross country, working out/running
Teacher Rec: from my math teacher who I have had for 2 years, really good
Essay: About seeing comedy movies with friends and how much fun it is
Counselor: Pretty Good

Word of advice: Be yourself, I mean the credentials won't just get you in.

Congrats to all who made it, and don't be discouraged if deferred - keep up your hopes and get some alum to write you letters and talk to admissions to tell them you still love ND. Good luck.

Well, ND is probably my top choice (has been for quite some time) but the whole problem of their art program not being as great as I wish it was has led to some other schools being considered. Aside from Notre Dame, my number two is Wesleyan University in Connecticut (not the all-women's Baptist college in Georgia which goes by the same name, nor the college Hillary Clinton went to - that's Wellesley) because of their awesome program overall.... Aside from that, I was looking at the five year BFA program between Tufts and the MFA in Boston, as well as Swarthmore, Boston College, and (maybe) Brown. But honestly, my fam (all of whom are ND fans, ridiculously) are very very VERY excited about me getting in (as am I !) so I think that ND's the place for me.
(I can always force their art program to fit my needs, like I did at my own school, where many teachers don't believe that art students are smart, or that smart students can be artistic - I had to break the mold a bit. I'll do it again if I have to...)

3.9/4.3 GPA; top 5%; 2110 SAT; essay was okay but not great however it was very unique; teacher and counselor recs were probably amazing

4.8/5.0 GPA; top 3%; 670R 800M 750W total 2220 SAT; recs were amazing; essay was unique i guess; I was a chief-editor for yearbook and also involved in school dance team for a long time

Can I ask your opinion? My D applied reg decision, she got a 31 on the ACT, and 2020 (690m, 680r, 650w). She has around a 3.5 unweighted, 4.2 weighted out of 4. She has taken 3 classes at the junior college (4.0 there) and attended Summer College at Cornell U last summer, took one class and got a B. She is ranked in the top 10% (around 48 out of 530). Leter of rec is from calculus teacher she has had for 2 years.

She is an officer in two campus clubs, and has volunteered extensively in the field of autism (3 summers as a camp counselor at a special camp, and weekly at a resource center for autism) Also volunteered overseas last summer.

Does she have a change of being admitted regular decision?

I'd say probably. Not wanting to make any guarantees but her slightly below average ACT is compensated by what sounds like extensive volunteer work. She wouldn't be a for sure but I'd say she has better than 50/50 shot. If she is catholic or an URM...that would help.

Nope. Only a booklet about "Financial Aid at Notre Dame." No concrete numbers.
