| canucksource, I'm sorry I have very little information on that since I'm in Tisch. I should have specified that, sorry. I know my friend is from Latvia and is a freshman and has done internship already. I think they like diverse applicants, so I doubt there is a big disadvantage being international. Sorry I can't help more!
dodger88, oh I wish they did! Not that I'm aware of, although you can work on campus to earn money (which is what I do). As far as loans, I'm sure you know about the Citibank and Sallie Mae international student ones - I really recommend the Sallie Mae, it was a bit of a pain to set up but works out better in the long run. You could try asking your home government, or writing to wealthy people in your area, that's another thing I did. Also if you can manage to get here for the first year, speak to NYU because, especially if you are a good student, they won't want to loose you and will probably be more helpful with financial aid. |
