Check it: 530, 570, 590 on subject tests; 2 Cs and 5 Bs on transcript; only 1340/2080 on sat I; and to top it off, I'm white. I'm not sure as to how I received an invitation to the saturday reception. Significant weight must be placed on the essays for admission to Gallatin, fortunately.

I actually got rejected in Stern with a SAT score of 2150, SAT II were like 650 and 680 both in math. Good essays, very involved in school activities.
I don't know what really happened, I would say I was really into the "usual" profile, the only thing that isn't was that I am from Mexico but I didn't even needed financial aid, so at the end it was all kinda funny.

I'll just wait for the other universities letters, and congratulations to everyone that got accepted into NYU!!

texasgrl,

I've only received an invitation at this point. I can't say whether or not you've been rejected or waitlisted, but if you were accepted, you theoretically should have received an invitation by now as well; that's not to say your application wasn't one of last to be finalized this week or that an invitation for you isn't lost in the mail. There can be many reasons why you haven't heard from Gallatin but may have been accepted - there's still hope!

I got into GSP with an 1850 SAT, but I think my GPA kind of made up for my SAT. I have a 4.0UW and 4.68W. My SAT II scores were much better too. 760Spanish, 610 US History, and 680 Literature.
