| i got one of those "congratulations" cards from Steinhardt. I was shocked (and extremely elated). lol
i only got a 1300/1600 on my SAT. 670 on both SAT Subject tests (literature and history)
3.9uw/4.3w GPA.
Average ECs that showed focus on music, a few leadership positions
Amazing recs and essay. I wrote about being biracial, which i think was a major hook for me.
Steinhardt isn't as competitive as CAS and Stern (as you can tell by my stats). |

| there's almost no point in looking at stats of people accepted in the other schools. it really depends on the school you applied to. |

| I got into CAS. I cannot believe it.
3.4 GPA
SAT: 2150/1430
I'm the managing editor of my school paper, copy editor of the yearbook, heavily involved in school plays, deeply involved in dance. That's it.
I'm a good writer? Could I be the only person in the entire world to get in on the strength of her essay? |

| I got into Stern and I'm only in the second decile of my public school class; I was surprised. SATs were pretty good though (2200) but EC's were rather boring. |

| Just wait until the rejections are mailed out.
We'll see if we'll think the same. |
