| Chances of getting into NYU/Tisch studios?
I have a question for anyone enrolled currently at Tisch in any of the 7 studios... NYU has been my dream school since I was in 8th grade so I decided to apply early decision to up my chances as much as possible. Here are my statistics:
Academics:
GPA- 3.8 out of 4.0
SATS- 1700
ACTS-26
Class Rank- 83 out of 425 (top 20%)
I have taken AP, honors, and CP level classes all through out high school
Extra Curriculars:
Theatre Troupe (I've been in over 20 productions and directed 2 productions)
Concert Choir
Chorale (elite singing group)
Noteworthy (acapella singing group)
Senior Class Executive board
Blue Eagle Ambassador
Principal- student advisory board
glee club
Dream kids (community service singing group)
Part time job for 3 years
Please let me know if my statistics are at a point where I may be considered for admission. There was something I might have been reading into too much of but the professor who took care of my acting audition and interview asked only me out of the 5 other people he interviewed "if I was interested in other studios at NYU if I didn't get into the MT program..." I don't know if he asked anyone else that or maybe he just saw something in me... or maybe I'm just going crazy... ANYWAY, I did tell the professor who auditioned me( a short, bald, somewhat hispanic looking man who didn't seem to show much emotion but who was still very nice) that I would be interested in any of the 7 studios. And then during my singing audition the piano player said that I did very well as I left the room... So yeah I don't know about that but if someone could please let me know what my chances are of getting in, that would be awesome! I did do early decision so hopefully that boosts my chances. And also, Does anyone know of anyone that went or is going to tisch that had the same academic profile as me or even possibly lower??? PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP))
