Acceptance Percentage?

Hey, y'all -

I've got my NYU audition in a little under a month, and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the percent of students who get admitted for the MT BFA.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I scanned the forum briefly, but I didn't see it.

Thanks in advance!

If you look at the thread with the subject heading "New York University" that is on the NYU/Tisch Forum, you will find a discussion on this topic from this past November. On that thread, Arthur Bartow, the Artistic Director of Tisch Drama, wrote:

"We have 1,000 applicants to our musical theatre program annually. We select 75 in order to make a class of 64."

So the acceptance rate into CAP itself is about 7%. However, some who specify CAP21 as their first choice may be accepted into Tisch for another studio if they aren't accepted into CAP but the school wishes to accept them into Tisch for Acting.

Read that thread for more discussion on this topic.

I'm sorry! I scanned most of the entries, but I must have missed that one. Thanks for answering it anyway!
