Does Tisch Costs More?

Someone told me that Tisch costs more than other colleges at NYU. Is this true?

I think you're speaking of the lab fees, which are about $800-900?? Don't have my tuition bill handy. But other than that, I don't think the tuition is any higher. Of course, I've never seen a tuition bill for other than Tisch.

This is the difference between Tisch and CAS:

Full time students, tuition, 12 to 18 points flat rate, per term $15,767.00
Nonreturnable registration and services fee for flat rate, per term $943.00

Full time students, tuition, 12 to 18 points flat rate, per term $17,397.00
Nonreturnable registration and services fee for flat rate, per term $943.00

I have had two students at NYU and Tisch is definitely more expensive.

Is that across-the-boards for all Tisch programs?

It seems that way, judging by the fee structure listed on the NYU website. There is also a lab fee of $132.

rossji, no, it's tuition itself. Tisch's tuition has always been the highest of any NYU college.

paying3, yes, it's for all Tisch departments, though there are additional costs which may differ between Drama and Film/TV, for instance. And remember that Drama kids will also have the added expense of getting to and from their studio three days a week.

Wow - had no idea. My bad. Or just ignorant. But my daughter doesn't have any extra expense getting to studio; her dorm is only 3 blocks away from CAP.
