Starting off on the right foot

I know that as a drama major, there isn't alot of time to socialize during the week, which might (i suspect) limit my experience somewhat. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for incoming freshman regarding what social steps to take in the first pivotal couple of weeks? Should i hang a huge sign outside my door that says "come in! I need a friend!"? lol

Nah, you'll be fine. There are a bunch of welcome week activities that introduce you to all sorts of kids, and then you will of course get in touch with the kids from your studio really fast, and then there will be your ITP and ITS classes, where you will meet other drama majors, and then your Writing the Essay classes, where you meet other Tisch kids.

And, (most people don't, but you can), Greek Life does exist at NYU if you are really interested in a tight knit community to join besides Tisch. It can be a really great experience to supplement your college experience, at least from my perspective.
