Hey has anyone heard about waitlist acceptences yet? i know they had another audition date last saturday but the letter said waitlist people would be informed the 13th of April? anyone know anything knew?

My D just heard from CAP21 today. When she auditioned in April (they added a date in late March) they told her she was first on the waitlist, and they had yet to hear from something like 6 or 8 people who hadn't decided yet. So today they called her and told her--she got in! (Yes, I'm the mom who posted a few months ago to say I doubted her talent. I'm SOOOO glad I kept my mouth shut with her!)

I remember seeing something about a thread for kids going to CAP21 this summer--is this the right thread? Are there other accepted students/parents out there?

Artesia, I think this thread is for the NYU Cap21 summer precollege program, which does not require an audition! I am not sure if there is a thread for that program ... search around and if not, create one! And congrats to your D! She is definitely in for a great summer, from what I hear.

I don't know which wait list this thread is about, LOL. But I know someone who recently got off the NYU/Tisch/CAP21 waitlist. This student had already enrolled in another summer intensive and is not taking the Tisch offer. Thus that spot surely has gone to someone else on the wait list.

NMR...it appears that the first two posts are discussing the audition based CAP21 program, I believe.
