| Double majors are hard as a drama major in Tisch...because you need to use almost all of your elective credits towards them. I believe you are in ETW? Correct me if I'm wrong, but in ETW you have much more control over your electives than you do in CAP. In CAP (assuming you do all 3.5 years) you start with 20 elective credits.
Subtract the mandatory 2 credit elective for private voice for 6 semesters
down to 8.
Subtract the 4th year practicum (six elective credits)
Down to 2. Which is one elective class.
Basically, it is almost impossible to double major in CAP. Minors are possible, as they only require 16 credits to achieve, and you can do that effectively with your CAS classes. However, a double major requires about 32 or more credits...making it essentially impossible to do if you are in CAP. But, if you are able use your electives that you have (if you are in another studio...but do not hold this to me, as I do not know if the other studios have classes that are mandatory electives), it is possible to double major...but very hard.
But, don't worry so much about all of this until you get to NYU (which I think you are headed to), as you will have bunches of meetings on this and personal meetins with your advisors, both academic and studio.
