Audition

I'm auditioning/applying early to Tisch for straight acting, not MT.

Anyone else applying early to Tisch?
Can anyone tell me about the audition process?

I have my monologues prepared, but I'm getting a little nervous about what's going to happen at the actual audition...;

I'm applying regular decision to Tisch, not early, but I went to an admissions meeting on Friday for drama, so I can tell you about it. Basically what they said is that you walk into the room and there will be one person sitting behind a table. I met the head of admissions, Chris Andersson, and he's really nice. He might be the person who auditions you. So you'll perform your two monologues, and then whoevers auditioning you will have you talk about the pieces and your goals, experience, etc. They will also ask you what studio you are interested in and what your second and third choices will be, so make sure you have some general knowledge about all of the studios! Let's see what else... he said they ask you to do 2 modern monologues because they want you to be able to relate to the character well and feel comfortable performing the piece, so don't be nervous, Im sure you'll do great!
