What if my legacy (parent) didn't necessarily donate money to the school? They just attended oxy.

Admission officers note that someone's relative(s) attended Oxy, but that is one of MANY factors that they annotate in the application. It would in no way trump someone's academic preparation and success nor would it outweigh any other academic or extracurricular merits. It does suggest to them that a student may have a strong knowledge of or a tie to Oxy already, but that's the extent of it. I hope that helps!
