I am the parent of an ONU student - I'll answer the best I can...
Musical theater program is very good and well respected in the area. The performing arts building is very, very nice. My D has friends performing there and they are kept very busy, lots of auditions and great productions.
A majority of the students are hard working students. Many are Ohioans. I would definitely lean towards traditional, conservative as opposed to very liberal.
Don't know about Poli Science - a couple of D's friends are in the English-Lit department and are quite happy. Creative writing is also a major where students seem to get lots of experience if you are motivated.
My D is in the Communications Department - Public Relations, not theater and she ADORES her profs, the Comm building and the school. My D is in the honors program and she cannot say enough about the school. Lots of new buildings going on, updated dorms - lots of progress.
Don't know about German.
The most competitive program to get into at ONU is Pharmacy - otherwise I can't comment on how your 3.3 will fare - I would think you would be in good shape, but what do I know?!
