am i allowed to take an honors course if im not in the honors program?

if i need to take a course but it's not being offered in the spring, but the exact same course is offered except it is an honors course, will i be allowed to take that course? or is there no chance of that happening?

    I don't believe non-honors students can enroll in honors course, unless you want to petition or ask special permission for it.

    Is the class something you need to take, or just something you'd like to take?
