Accepted students - getting a lot of phone calls?

I recently heard about someone who says he got calls from OSU 4 or 5 nights in a row. He thinks OSU must have some kind of large call center. Anyone else getting a lot of phone calls from them?

I haven't gotten any calls, and I've been accepted for over a month. However they did call a lot BEFORE I was accepted, like over the summer.

Last year my D (OOS), now a freshman, received several calls throughout the year after her acceptance.

My S2 has received several calls. For such a large university, I commend OSU for having a terrific outreach program, especially for OOS kids. The personal contact makes a difference: S2 is seriously considering OSU while he waits to hear RD from in-state schools.

I agree 12rmh18. Very impressive for such a large university. I do think it will help their yield. It suggests that they do not think of students as just being a number. The kid I was referring to is reveling in all the attention he's getting and says OSU has definitely moved up on his list.

My application is still in evaluation, however I received MANY calls and e-mails before I submitted my application. At least one every 2 weeks, if not every week.
