| Boston Conservatory I don't see a thread on Boston Conservatory. I know there are some random postings and several plan to audition there. Anyone have any real insight into their program and its quality as a musical theatre program? |

| OCU News OCU is pleased to announce that Jason Robert Brown, Tony winning composer (of this springs main stage musical "Parade"), will be appearing at OCU January 24th as part of OCU's annual Music Theory Conference. He will be working with the OCU Composition Department students as well as providing a master class for voice students.
In other news, Florence Birdwell, OCU's legendary voice instructor, has been asked by Adam Guettel (composer "A Light In The Piazza") to host an exclusive 3 day master class in New York City organized by Mr. Guettel. Ms Birdwell assisted Mr Guettel in some of the out of town try outs of "Piazza". Click here for details: http://www.okcu.edu/music/fac.asp |

| It's almost over Seems like yesterday that we were packing up the rented SUV to move my D to OCU. I think she learned she didn't need nearly as much stuff as she took! If she hasn't already realized that, she probably will when it comes time to pack it all up again for the move home! She will be home this summer, performing in the local community theatre production of The Music Man (have not auditioned yet, so don't know what part), possibly taking a course or two at the local junior college and working at least part time.
Just curious to know how many CCers will be returning to OCU next year. My D is coming back.
Also, I will get to see the final performance of Parade and Stripped next weekend. Whose kids are in those and what parts? I will try to watch for them. My D is assististing the director of one of the Stripped shows.
Although I discovered this thread late, it was fun to chat with you all, as well as informative and encouraging. Have a great summer break. |

| Yes, it won't be long until we make that long journey to get my d and ALL her stuff that she has accumulated throughout the year...I hope she is already boxing some of it up! My d will also be returning to OCU for her sophomore year and is planning to live in Cokesbury, so she will probably need even MORE stuff! I wish we could just store it somewhere for the summer. Unfortunately, due to the distance, we are not going to be able to see any of the performances this weekend, and I really wish we could...even though my d did not get cast in anything this year. I am sure she will get something soon and then, of course, we will be there. As for summer, she is staying near home, probably working some, taking a summer course through UNC, and maybe doing something in local community theatre...I am sure it will pass quickly and we will be off to Oklahoma again before we know it!
I wish all the CC'ers we met (and those we haven't gotten a chance to meet yet) a wonderful safe journey to and from OCU and great, relaxing summer.

| My son will be back. He wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Kim, I can't face bringing all the stuff home either. I think our kids have talked of sharing storage.
This summer, S will be at home, directing an end of the year review at an elementary school and running a 3 week camp for kids at our church. He also has enrolled in some gen. ed classes at our community college.
I know it will pass too quickly, too. |

| Is there a thread for the class of 2010? My d will be in the MT program fall of 06. It would be great to "hook up" before then. |
