Pre med at ODU

I am fairly confident that I could maintain an extremely high gpa at odu but is their pre med program strong enough to get me a good mcat score?
I have heard conflicting things about if college matters for med school. Would I be better off at William and Mary or university of Richmond (my other choices)?

I have been told that they do not care about major or undergraduate institution as much as they do overall academic strength, exposure and experience related to an interest in medicine, and MCAT.

Can you contact ODU's premed advisors and ask about their previous students' placements? Or you could always contact admissions offices at a few medical schools and ask them there take.
