I was there with our son it was very interesting. I sold my wife definitively, she believes schools need to change. The innovatice teaching style was interesting, the alumni, trustees, professors, and president of the school were there.

This was at the Sheriden across the street from Stanford. Definitely worth the time. Just wondering if anyone else was there that is on these forums.

DS was there (an alumnus)--he enjoyed meeting some older alums and talking to the prospective students and parents. Glad you had a good time, nothing like impassioned students and alums to sell the school!

Santookie - feel free to post or pm current students, their parents or alumni. We will all be happy to share info about the Olin community. My son is a rising sophomore at Olin and could not be happier.

Hi Santookie - Another happy Olin parent here. I hope you find some other parents that were at the Sheridan. It's helpful to do the college search along with other families as sounding board <waving at FlMathMom!>. You can also find good info scattered in the other threads.

If I recall correctly, approx 20% of Oliners are from CA... and they make up an even higher percentage of the applicants.
