Yay, another Olin '13 applicant. I love Olin, though I do have some doubts about the student size - nothing CW would probably allay me of...if I get that far. My self-appointed mentor/advisor (a CS PhD candidate at Princeton) says he'd suggest me to pick CalTech, CMU, or Harvey Mudd over Olin...but if I took his advice, what would be the point of applying to Olin?! He has heard of it, however.
1. Kaman - Olin, MIT, Caltech, Stanford, and my safety is RPI.
2. dollyflower - Pton, Stanford, MIT, Rice, CMU, UCs
I had always considered Olin as one of my top schools, but then I got a chance to speak with an admissions rep at the FIRST Robotics Championship and I absolutely fell in love with the school. It's definitely on my top list now.

3. technol21 - MIT, Olin, UF, WPI, CMU, GaTech, still considering a few others
Wow that's cool. I just heard of Olin from a friend (who is pretty sure she's not applying) last month. We were humoring this sophomore who would NOT stop talking about AP classes, SATs, college, and so on my talking about colleges too. xP
can someone please explain to me the point of this thread? I hate to be the party pooper yet again, but this seems to be just comparing where other people are applying, and that might be a better discussion had somewhere else. Just my opinion, feel free to disagree.
Molly, I think the point is to see what other schools Olin-interested people are applying to. This is a valid question as Olin is very unique and it is hard to find other schools that Olin-lovers would also like.
I'm going for Olin, Harvey Mudd, Swarthmore, and Rose-Hullman. I might apply to Caltech too, but I won't know for sure until I visit this summer.
